lin-cruiter (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a recruiting platform that helps recruiters find, evaluate, and contact candidates using AI-powered tools. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use our service at lin-cruiter.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and name via Google SSO or magic-link authentication. We do not collect or store passwords.
Candidate Data
When you run a search (“hunt”), we retrieve publicly available LinkedIn profile data through our data provider (Unipile). This includes names, job titles, experience history, skills, education, and company information. This data is used solely to score and rank candidates against your search criteria.
Usage Data
We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and in-app activity (hunts created, candidates viewed, messages sent) to operate and improve the service.
Messaging Data
If you use our outreach features (LinkedIn messages, WhatsApp, email), message content and delivery status are processed through Unipile and stored to track campaign performance.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the recruiting platform
- To score and rank candidates using AI (OpenAI GPT-4o)
- To send outreach messages on your behalf via LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or email
- To process payments and manage subscriptions (via LemonSqueezy)
- To send transactional emails (magic links, receipts)
- To improve our AI scoring algorithms and service quality
4. AI Processing
Candidate profiles are sent to OpenAI’s API for scoring. We use GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini to evaluate candidates against your criteria. OpenAI processes this data under their API data usage policy and does not use API inputs to train their models.
5. Data Sharing
We share personal data only with:
- Unipile — LinkedIn/WhatsApp/email integration provider
- OpenAI — AI scoring and evaluation
- LemonSqueezy — payment processing
- Google — authentication (SSO)
We do not sell your data to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Hunt results and candidate scores are retained for as long as you maintain an account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session management, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
